Frequently Asked Questions

Q.) How much does a counseling session cost?

A.) $120 per clinical hour (about 50 minutes). I accept all major credit cards.

Q.) Do you take insurance?

A.) No, I don't. However, I can provide a monthly statement "superbill" that can be submitted to an insurance company for possible reimbursement for out of network expenses.

Q.) You went to Harvard?

A.) Not physically, but I did complete three courses from Harvard. They were extremely challenging and I consider myself to be a proud survivor.

Q.) Will you work with me even if I don't plan on going totally clean and sober?

A.) Yes! Complete abstinence is not everyone's goal and I am OK with that. Roughly half of my clients are still using some substance and are striving to reduce it to a level where it does not interfere with their life.

Q.) My loved one is the one with a substance problem, but they refuse to get help. Can you counsel me and help me figure out how to deal with this?

A.) Absolutely! About 10 percent of my clients are in this category and they consider me to be a valuable tool in helping them through a very difficult time.

Q.) I need to get a drug and alcohol assessment done for a legal case I have, can you do that?

A.) No, I don't work with the legal system.

Q.) Is my spouse/partner allowed to join us for a counseling session?

A.) Yes. Bear in mind I am not a couple's counselor, but I have some education in this area and have been married to the same gal since 1993. I know a little bit about the topic.

Q.) Are the Seattle Kraken going to make the playoffs this year?

A.) I don't know...anything is possible!
